Given how things in my life have been going, I also have not been having enough time to play well.

It is quite embarrassing not to kill an opponent's ship because my fleet has orders to disengage (from a previous merge to repair) when it should have easily killed the enemy ship... Unfortunately I have done this several times recently...

So as much as I dislike slowing the game down, how about a fixed schedule of 2x per week, like M-Th, or Tu-F. This would give 72 hours for the turn during the week, and more hours (96) for those people that have less time on the weekends (or am I mixing that up with a previous game?).

If I lose a game, I like to have played well. If I win a game, I like my opponents to have played well. I prefer a slower game that is played well, to a faster game where people miss turns. Playing well (win or lose) is more important than winning to me.

I know two turns per week is pretty boring for those not in a war, but there are not too many races in this game not involved in a war...

I agree with Raindancer. I think exactly the same thing. Win or lose is not that important if you know that you won because your opponents could simply not compete. And when you are not able to play well enough then you are pretty much insulting all the other players by making it too easy on them.

As for myself, I have no problem with whatever solution which allow me to play at least one hour and a half after I get back from work. So I think option 2 would be good for me, and I have no problem with getting in touch with you would the clock goes too close from deadline. That would be a good solution for me.

Ok, I missed this turn again by a few seconds, and I'm just as angry as the last time.

This time I thought I was one day early, because it says Tuesday on the AH... But in fact it means monday for me with the time difference. I was about to send my turn to AH and was sending my turn to my ally when I received the new turn in my inbox...

I have to admit that the current game has taken its toll on me. It was fun at the start but a lot of factors, most of them out of the game, piled up until it is not fun anymore. When I think of my STARS! turn now all I see about it is frustrations on all side.

I am thus dropping out from the game.

Thanks for trying to help me fit in with the new schedule. I think it would have worked if this last draw didn't happen... This time I only have myself to blame.

Thanks for trying. We wish you the best.

May we fight again some day under better circumstances. Smile

Eric/Bugs.

P.S. Nice ad for a replacement.
