Curious, but why 26 hours? 24 I understand...

Because if it's 24 then you have to submit your turn earlier each day, which can get rather annoying. 26 means that if you're always submitting at the same time, around-about, then you'll always get in.

I guess it is easier for the players who always submit last. Since the gen is always done when the last player submit, if it was 24 hours then the last player would always miss some seconds or some minutes everytime, until they can't keep up anymore and miss a turn.

With two extra hours then there is a small leeway.

26 hours seems to be the most popular "daily" schedule. Ron also has 26 hours set as the default.

The first time I hosted I set Max. 24 hours but a couple of players asked me to change it. Can't remember why.

Makes sense. Of course if a game is set up with a fixed submittal deadline, then that time creep-up does not happen. This is how we played in the 'old days'. Laughing

Of course the advantage of the current setup is that if everyone in the game is quick, it can make the early turns go even faster...
