Never have to keep track of multiple usernames/passwords again. Also, never have to use same login for lots of sites.
Plugin for IE and Firefox that helps people who have many logins for different sites. Enter a master password, tweak a few settings, then let it auto gen a difficult password for you. It can auto paste username/password.

I noticed a (working!) open source game based on an old game (star control 2), similar to starflight, old trekie type games in some ways.

Among other security related things, they provide very userfriendly free encryption for MSN,Yahoo,AIM/ICQ & Jabber(inc googlechat) Lurking

I've only used Simplite for MSN, but it supported MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger, Trillian, Gaim and "other" - all simultaneously! Whisper

They also have a unix SimpServer for automatic encryption of an entire LANs IM traffic through a gateway(at least I think thats what it does) - very cool idea if it does.

Impressive! Cool

Most common names seem to indeed appear. Very Happy However

search string = "m.a.stars"
45-bit binary equivalent = 011011110100001111011001110100000011001010011

string does not occur in first 4 billion binary digits of pi

Don't feel so bad, "m.a.stars" is 9 characters, so according to site had only a 0.01% chance of being present... Ptolemy is much less fortunate, he had a 11% chance of showing up... I tried "dogthinker", on the forlorn hope that my 0.0003% chance of being there might show up... But it didn't...

"Joe" on the other hand, was there! Yay! Cheers

I guess you need to set your sights quite low Laughing

Those monkeys will be typing a looooong time if they want to get one of Shakesphere's plays out...

It's interesting seeing the sharp drop off between 6 and 7 characters. Not that surprising if you think about it for long, but still shocks the eye. I expect we'll see a few peeps with 6 character handles bouncing up and down any moment now...

probability of occurrence for character
5 or fewer chars is ~100%
6 chars is 97.6%
7 chars is 11%
8 chars is 0.36%
9 chars is 0.01%
10 chars is 0.0003%

The wise chosen who have prepared 5000kt of the green mineral,
Will be rewarded with a powerful space ship. Very Happy

But the lazy chosen who have not the minerals,
Will be covered with cow pies that stinketh. Shocked

So it is written in the book of pi.

Very Happy Way cool. A couple of college boys from China make lip syncing video in their spare time and end up getting offer from Motorola for a TV commercial.
