Gentlebeings, I beg you, consider the nerve of this vile and violent Petroid tyrant known only as "Ron". A few harmless boatloads of tourists slaughtered to the last hatch-ling for the crime of littering? Can anyone reading this post justify such behavior? The very Universe must be recoiling in shock that a "civilized" race like the Petroids could stomach such a bloodthirsty monster as their leader.
But have no fear gentle readers. The author of this missive has sworn an oath of vengeance. Ron will be brought to justice and once apprehended will be given a swift and fair trial (we held it yesterday, he was found guilty). (Hey, it sounds fair to us)
As for his patently false attempt to elicit sympathy by painting us as the economic powerhouse in the game, I mean think about it. How can a race that has to build and operate everything with their beaks be expected to build an infrastructure of the size he claims? Confined to a scant handful of planets we may be but we will fight valiantly against this fiend in inhuman form.
We are a poor race, besieged and set upon by a Low and Treacherous Villain. If anyone out there might wish to aid the struggles of our poor fledglings, Resources may be donated to the "Help Save the Tweety-Bird" foundation at Triaurat.666.com.

Wha! 74K res was for 2466 am now at....(Hetzer) "yes" (What did you just say?) "but he was getting it wro........" "oh" ......
(sound of large, heavy foot tapping in slow, angry disapproval). "GROND, common"...."it was a mistake, anyone could do it".........."right?"....."Uh, Guys, I'd like to introduce you to my evil twin"....."Guys this is GROND"...."GROND, these are the guys"........."All-right Ron, you can stop giggling now"....(Hetzer looks nervously around at something that apparently only he can see)...."Now Grond, I've been good"......."well, mostly good anyway"......"common, we're family, right?"......"one more chance?"......."pleeze?"......
<We're sorry but due to the violent and bloody nature of the rest of the post and Ron's kind and sensitive nature, we felt it best to save Ron the trouble of having to edit it himself.> (see, I do to possess a scruple) (beams)

What?? Well, if not 'worn out', its sure to be dusty, minuscule, anemic, and probably inebriated considering where you got it from So squeaky clean that it's bound to be stiff and hard to use, as I'm sure it hasn't been used much in the past, and you're sure not going to use it much

Hetzer wrote on Fri, 13 December 2002 18:25 | The unspeakable Evilness of that Malevolent creature known only as "Ron" has been revealed. By his own words I accuse him of the practice of Fowlabalism. No wonder we have never received a reply to our countless attempts to ransom our ill-fated tourists and merchant mariners. Penning our captives up in those rank smelly dungeons he so cavalierly calls "coops and roosts" is bad enough. But openly admitting to devouring them like some ravening brainless animal..........(shudders). You don't eat prisoners. You grip them tightly in your talons, fly as high as you can and let go so you can watch them scream and fall and go "SPLAT". Anybody knows that. It's shocking to see who they let into space these days.
|
We never said we *eat* fowls; the eggs they lay is another matter. Your people are getting the best treatment, seed, roughage, etc that we can provide. In fact, they are liking it so much here that they're beginning to talk about the atrocious conditions back home: the overcrowding, being forced to eat the ground-up remains of the old and weak, etc. They say our coops are much nicer that the tiny ones they are forced to live in back home.
Quote: | (ps: Ron that rumor of me breaking 81+K res in 2468 is simply not true, mere space vapor and those tales of 123 planets....come now the MM alone would crush a poor feeble-minded person like me, after all (see signature) ).
|
Ah, but the space vapor talks! It tells of 88k res now and 125 planets, 2 hour turns etc.... but *perhaps* our radio telescopes/scanners pick up more of Grakle 'secure' communications that you are privy to.

And we notice that you did not even attempt to refute the fact that the Grakle hold their people in slavery, and make them eat their own ground up dead, as reported by some Grakle Hens that we rescued (see previous post). 'Unborn fetuses'? You very well know that they would have to be fertilized by Grakle Heirarchy males before they could be called that. As we mercifully euthenize any GH males we find (they wouldn't be happy here anyway), all the eggs we collect are unfertilized.
We didn't mention flying privileges because we assumed that it was an inalienable right. Does the Grakle heirarchy not allow their people to fly? If not, then we'll send a message to all Grakle people "Shake off your chains, rouse and throw off the yoke of your oppressive Overlords! Come and live in good conditions with us, a friendly and supportive people. The only thing you need provide is unfertilized eggs. We provide clean wide roosts and coops, daily flying privileges, and plenty of good feed. We are not meat eaters so you needn't worry that we will eat you. Rise up and rebel against those who hold you in slavery!"

(I have seen a number of poor duped fools post threads thanking Ron for Autohost and the new Forum but what is the Forums true purpose? The reality is that Ron grows fat with the information posted here. He and not the SS is the ultimate spy-master. Like some fat bloated spider he sits in this carefully built and attractive web and waits for us to give him the information that he needs to carry out his wide ranging and nefarious schemes.)

Why insult R.O.N? The Really Omnicient Network is a cluster of sentient computers working for the good of the Stars! community. R.O.N would rather put its energies into benefiting the community, not greedily hording knowledge as you seem to want to do.
Quote: | Please help this lone voice of reason to fight the good fight. The Grakle are a poor race, unable to build factories and to reap the rewards of such progress. We are beset by two fiendish opponents who cannot stand to see such as our humble selves inhabiting even one small corner of the universe. Surely you can find it in you hearts to spare a scant handful of resources to stop the advance of such malign tyranny.

Obviously Hetzer, you, a poor Public Relations employee, have been duped by your superiors, so you can hardly be called the "voice of reason" at this time. They have kept information from you. However, if you would only choose to believe the facts we have presented, you could become a real 'voice of reason' and help promote change in the Grakle Heirarchy.

Come to think of it, from the point of view of the poor buffer state caught between two super-powers, missiles (at least, for the Pegraks) would have their uses.

Thanks, Hetzer, I'll be happy to accept that little advantage. We've got to do *something* about the plague of Tweety Pie battleships. I'll wait on the result of your haggling with Ron before I start up-grading.

Hmm happy to play the game under the current (no missiles) rule until the alliance has taken enough major damage to make your success certain, rather than it simply being apparent. Next game I'll choose a different race, I think. AR's definitely a race for a long, slow-developing game; bad choice on my part.

dam, you're doing horribly well. Congratulations. Are you going to test your race out in a match with other players, too?
