Ahem, you obviuosly lack experience with Stars which is... well, that's what this forum is for.

You ask many questions which is... excellent for a newbie. Well, although many of those questions are formulated as statements about Stars (which we try to correct).

I wonder a bit, though, wether you are actually listening, reading, mmh, comprehend the answeres?

And sometimes, when you describe Stars I have the feeling as if you were playing a version I don't know.

Back to your question about the Wiki:
Perhaps it is a bit early to add your wisdom about Stars?

Hi Question,
Welcome back. If none of the wiki admins are available, you might get in touch with one of the other editors like nmid; run your ideas by one of them to see if it would make for a good addition.

At some point in the next week, I'll need to shut the wiki down and get it backed up. In the scheme of getting everything working, the wiki is lowest priority.

True... Is there anyway I can take a backup / get a copy of the backup and upload it on my hosting provider?

I know my minefields.. but I'm a chaff sweeper.

Sure, when I get the backup made. Here's a possible problem for you... The version of Mediawiki being used for the wiki is so old that it requires an older version of php and/or mysql. It's currently on a second dedicated VM with a local 192.168.*.* address that the SAH server can get to. If you want to take over the wiki, and upgrade it to a current, more secure version of mediawiki, I'd be glad to let you do it. Otherwise, I'm not sure when I'd get around to it.

I'm up for it.

I'm currently trying to brush up on things with regards to the content and the wiki. If anything if there is a need for someone to update the wiki to reflect the Tech Tree I would love to help. I can contribute at least something every month as time permits and hopefully in the coming months I'll have a few more games under my belt to help contribute to transcribing/updating content from the older wiki.

I'd also like to help with aesthetics as well if that is at all possible. HTML scripting has come a long way since I first joined the forum or used the wiki. If all else fails I have a personal google site that I maintain that I could use as a complementary wiki if necessary. Just would hate to split the work if I could help keep all the eggs in one basket.
