Great that you're so keen but I would advise against joining more than 2 games especially since Open War is likely to consume a lot of time.

IMO 6 turns is too many. Depending upon the race it is likely that no replacement would be interested.
As a host I normally ask what's up after 2 missed turns &, if appropriate, usually seek a replacement after 3.

I usually asks what the problem is even after one missed turn, and start to look for a replacement player after 2-4 turns depending on the turn schedule and the player position. The long delay I mentioned was intended as a provocation, and it did bring responses.

You are in.
That makes it 8 of 11 players, if the two probable players are in, so there are still 3 or more open places.

One more player, and a new player list here, as I am no longer able to edit the original post.
All slots full, no room for any more players unless any of the committed players drop out.
Players:
vonKreedon - Race file in
Snapper - Race file in
Beowulf - Race file in
TheShadow7478 - Race file in
Mark - Race file in
rolfverberg - Race file in
Deuce - Race file in
Dude - Race file in
CAL - Race file in
Dashiva - Race file in
Redski - Race file in
"Race file in" means I have received a race file, but it is of course possible to update the race file with an improved version until the deadline of midnight GMT between Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th February (actually I will use the latest file i receive before generating the game, but I don't know yet how long after midnight that is).

I'm in, let me know when you want race files. I like the 9 player format.

9 players is enough, though 11 would be better. I would say we should start the game after the race files are in, and the universe will be dense, even if it is only 9 players (contrary to the original rules listing).
The deadline for final race submissions is midnight GMT between Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th February. If you want me to make suggestioins to improvements for your race, then you should submit your preliminary race design sufficiently earlier for me to look over the race and reply, and I have more time for such things during the weekend than on work days, so the sooner you send me the preliminary race file the better.
From each player, I will need the following information:
A valid race file, of course.
Player name to be displayed on the game page (preferably your Autohost alias).
Race name (I can read that from the race file).
Race file password, if any.
E-mail address which turn files and game messages are to be sent to (if you do not list an alternate e-mail address, I will assume the e-mail address you are sending from is the correct e-mail address).
PS: For calculating hab before and after terraforming, I find this tool useful: Stars! Overall Planet Habitability and Race Econ Calculator.

You still looking for players? I've played 4 (I think) multiplayer games on SAH. One was recent, the others lost in the mists of time.... I'm on GMT BTW
