This discovery will allow galaxtic peace for the first time in our lifetimes! This newly discovered region of space was discovered through the usual querks of the universal gathering...
It all came about because of an unusual constellation...
As seen from the Kessel HW a star constellation forms a perfect arrow. The ancients believed that the steller phenomena pointed the way to vast untold fortunes, breathing room, and the ancient world from which they came. A researcher from the ISN came across the constellation after searching for information on the ancient races. After following the sign the researcher discovered that the arrow pointed to 500ly diameter region of space beginning at the tip of the arrow and extending to the edge of the galaxy.
This arrow can only be seen from the Kessel system, however, advanced astrological software can interpolate the constellation from a description of the stars names. Match all these stars together to find the constellation.

Recent probes in Hyak space have revealed interesting power levels readings on their newest warships. The power levels usually indicate the ships capacity for inflicting damage. Their newest ships seem to read far above what should be their normal projected power curve. The normal or suspected readings should be around the 32-66 power levels. However, this new breed of ship seem to read 169-233 power levels. Clearly, this progress should be watched in the future and further expansion by the Hyak should be monitored.
